WELCOME!
FAREWELL, MARCELO & RENATA!
Saturday evening the El Paso Corvette Club threw a surprise farewell dinner for members, Marcelo and Renata. They are returning to Brazil and will be deeply missed. The Club presented them with a gift to remind them of their adventure in El Paso and their awesome red C8! Until we meet again, Adeus, Marcelo e Renata!
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the loss one of our long time El Paso Corvette Club members; Angel Santiago lost his battle to cancer. Angel passed away peacefully Friday night on May 6, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
Angel and his wife Dorothy joined the Club in October of 2009 with their Metallic Red C-6. Before Angel’s failing health, they were active members and participated in pretty much all our activities and became lifelong friends to many. Angel served as an officer and assumed the duties of Vice President for several years where he worked endlessly. He set up many activities such as cruises, parties and parades.
Our dear friend Angel was a very generous man with a heart of gold. His generosity fed and clothed many children that he came in contact with. What we will remember most is his laughter, it was true and hearty. He spoke from the heart and he was a man of great compassion and caring.
Angel was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. Angel’s graveside services will be Friday, June 10th, at 11:30 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
Please keep Dorothy and their family in your prayers.
