AUGUST CRUISE HIGHLIGHTS
On August 20th, our club had a wonderful cruise up to Cloudcroft New Mexico and the Sunspot Solar Observatory. The Observatory is actually located in a community called Sunspot. We met up on the East side of El Paso and were joined by our friends from the West Texas Vettes club. We cruised up Hwy 54 to Alamogordo, NM and then HWY 82 to Cloudcroft. We were then treated to the wonderful winding Sunspot Hwy that was made for Corvettes. Arriving at the Observatory, we found cool weather and a great time as we looked around the facility. After looking at the great view, we headed back to Cloudcroft for lunch at Rebecca's. Although none of us saw the ghost of Rebecca, we had a good time talking and visiting. It was an awesome, beautiful day with great friends. Thank you to the club members that attended and to the West Texas Vettes who came with us!
JUNE CRUISE OVERNIGHTER
On June 3rd and 4th, the El Paso Corvette Club set out on an overnight cruise to Deming, NM. We traveled down along the southern border of New Mexico on HWY 9 to Columbus and then made our way up to lunch in Deming. Afterward, we enjoyed some wine tasting at D.H. Lescombes Winery. Later that evening we cruised to the Adobe Deli for a delicious dinner and some very “interesting atmosphere". We concluded our evening with our usual hilarious gatherings at the hotel. After a good breakfast Sunday morning, we cruised home to good ol' El Paso.
May Cruise Highlights
On Sunday, May 21st, the El Paso Corvette Club held its May Cruise with a cruise down scenic HWY 28 in New Mexico and concluded with lunch at the Pecan Grill & Bistro in Las Cruces. It was a great time as we also welcomed new members and non-members as well.
