Nancy Kathleen Driscoll, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, peacefully passed on November 22, 2025, in El Paso, Texas.
Nancy was born to Charles Lee Pomeroy and Jean Ray Jones on October 1, 1944, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both of her parents preceded her in death and welcomed her to heaven with open arms.
She is survived by her devoted husband of thirty years, Bill Driscoll, her beloved children, Todd Mathews & Debra Storer Mathews, and Evan Driscoll & Angelina Cordero Driscoll. She was a proud grandmother to Sonia Mathews, Adam Mathews & Audrey Chandler Mathews, who brought her endless joy. Her family knows that she has been reunited with her dogs Abby, Gidget, and Maggie, in heaven.
Nancy retired from Dixon Paper/xpedx in 2007, after 27 years of employment as an accounting manager. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time at her lake house in Elephant Butte, New Mexico, and especially loved boating and jet skiing on the lake with her friends and family.
Nancy never met a stranger - she loved to socialize and meet new people. Nancy and Bill became members of the El Paso Corvette Club in 2019, and she enjoyed many cruises, meetings, and special events with the club’s more than seventy members. Nancy was a devoted annual donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and rescued many animals throughout her life.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Nancy’s memory to St Jude at events.stjude.org/nancydriscoll, or to the Animal Rescue League of El Paso. Her family finds comfort in knowing she has been made new in heaven and will miss her dearly until they are together again. Her memory is a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Perches Funeral Home East (2280 Joe Battle Blvd, El Paso, Texas, 79938). Her Celebration of Life followed at 11:00 am followed by Interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery and a brunch at El Dorado Event Center. All of us in the El Paso Corvette Club have been blessed by her friendship and she will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, rest in peace, Nancy.
SHOW & SHINE TOY DRIVE
Saturday, November 22nd, the El Paso Corvette Club organized a Show & Shine Toy Drive to benefit the El Paso Children’s Miracle Network. Pep Boys and Advanced Auto Parts hosted and provided hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, and music. It was a great show of support from West Texas Vettes, Street Memories, Eastlake Boys, members of the El Paso Corvette Club, and other car clubs and car enthusiasts in the community. Special thanks to Advanced Auto Parts general manager, Louie Gonzalez, for hosting and for his excellent hospitality. Joshue Ornelas was there to represent the Children’s Miracle Network and to receive the toys. A big shout out and thank you to all those who contributed toys. Many thanks for your generosity. You will put a huge smile on children’s faces this Christmas!
